The Chipmunks

It is the morning alarm - the chattering sound of squirrels in the near by vicinity of my house.
At one time, that used to be the time I silently used to hunt for some cool photographs. Believe me, taking their pictures are very difficult, even the minutest sound would drive these chip-munks crazy!.
Here are some of the pictures that I managed to capture.

Flash Back

Gone were those days when I was happy clicking pictures with my first digital camera. It was an ordinary Canon PowerShot A80. Three years it let me and taught me to take amazing photographs, be it severe rain or snow or whatever. It had come on alive so many times after near and sudden deaths. But during last fall when I was in Florida it took its last breath when a heft mexican bumped on me and made it slip out of my hands. Even by being a three megapixel camera this canon just rocked. Click here to see some of the pictures that were taken with my old Canon A80.

Frozen Lake and the Sunset

December 10th, no traces of snow in Minneapolis. The temperatures have been in negatives since as early as mid of Octobar and the wheather-men have been busy making the forcast for the coldest winter of all times. Yet, yesterday it was one of those rare warm days when I happened to witness one of the spectacular views of the sunset on the banks of frozen Nakomi Lake. Here are a few of them.
All the photos are taken from Canon EOS 400D with Canon 100-400mm f/5.6L IS Telephoto Lens

The Empire State Building and the lower Manhattan captured from the NBC Tower's Observatory. According to me this is the best view of the New York that anybody can get. I had preferred NBC towers this time instead of the Empire States for the simple reason that I had been to the city's tallest tower on both of my two previous visits. For reasons unknown most of the NY's visitors do not have NBC towers in their place of interests and would rather prefer The Empire State, where they eventually end up waiting for upto 2-3 hrs in the overcrowded queues. I was lucky enough to visit tower's Observation deck and take this shot. Hey people, if you are planning to go to NY or not have been to NBC Towers, make it a point you visit the "Top of the Rock".
It is a must.
